Washington D.C. (NewsDakota.com) – Vice President Mike Pence will be in Clay County, MN this Thursday to promote the USMCA trade deal with Canada and Mexico.

According to the StarTribune Pence is scheduled to visit R & J Johnson Farms in Glyndon, in Clay County near Fargo, N.D. He will tour the facility and talk to farmers about how the new trade deal will benefit farmers in Minnesota.

The USMCA is a trade deal that the Trump administration would like to replace NAFTA with.  But has yet to pass in Canada and the US.  It has passed partially in Mexico.

One of the main holdups is the Trump administrations tariffs on steel and aluminum.  (Section 232)
